Tonight is the third night of Hanukkah and I’m pretty excited to see what present my wife picks.
I’ll be honest with you I don’t remember what I packed into what box… it’s just as much of a surprise to me as it is to her. It’s like I get the excitement of opening 2 presents.
Unfortunatlely, not all surprises in life are fun, some are downright scarry.
It’s when life takes those unexpected turns that we have to learn to really trust that God is good and wants the best for us.
This is how it was all last year for me and I’m sure for many of you as well…
Last year was a season of wilderness and walking in the unknown.
One of the things I’ve learned from this season is that we need to be OK with moving toward our fears and the things that make us uncomfortable.
The enemy knows what God has in store for you and he will do everything he can to keep you from it.
He will try and put as many scary things in the way of that promise as possible. Once you learn that there is truly is nothing to be scared of you will learn to use that fear as inspiration.
When you are facing fear, run toward it!
As you learn to overcome your fear you will find the success you have been seeking.
It can be something as simple as doing the thing on your to-do list that you’ve been avoiding.
It may mean it’s time to make that career change you’ve been dreading….
Either way, it’s time to face that fear.
You will find succsess on the other side.
