Covered In Grace
Today I’ll be starting a new job. It’s not something I was looking for, it’s something that just sort of fell into my lap. Why did that happen? Why does that always happen? Because my heavenly father is looking out for me.
This may or may not be a long term thing but either way, it’s what my family needs and as a man, it’s what I’m going to do.
I have a tendency to see the future and what I know God has in store and it makes it so easy to forget what He is doing for me right now.
As a redeemed child of God bought and paid for by the blood of the Lamb, I know I am highly favored and covered in grace.
I know I’m special and I know God has an amazing plan for my life.
I know the days of my life have been planned out long ago before I was a twinkle in my father’s eye.
I know I am what I am today because that is what God wants me to be.
He took me out of the primordial ooze and decided I would go at this time in history, in this part of the world and in this family tree and do you know what? He did it for His glory!
That’s right. He looked throughout time and space and decided this would be when I’d be able to have the most impact for His kingdom.
Here’s the beauty of it: It has nothing to do with me!
There is absolutely no pressure on me to become what God created me to be… it’s all Him and His doing!
Romans 9:16 says. “So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.”
That whole chapter completely frees you from the need to perform or the lie that tells you, “you’ve messed up and have fallen from the will of God…”
You are exactly where you are supposed to be and exactly where God wants you.
Praise Him for that… Praise Him because he knows exactly what is going to happen in your life and He is working it out for YOUR good.
If you don’t see it yet, give it time… it will come to you.
Now go out there today and live like the highly favored, full of grace, child of God you are!
